Paris airport workers call off strike ahead of the Olympics

Airport workers in Paris will not go on strike in the week before the Olympic Games. Previously, unions had threatened a strike over a dispute concerning bonuses for their work during the sporting event. However, airport operator ADP has now reached an agreement with the unions: all ADP employees will receive a bonus.
The Olympic Games in Paris begin on Friday, July 26. Several unions had threatened to strike on July 17, nine days before the start of the event.

The airports Charles de Gaulle and Orly, operated by ADP, are the main gateways to France for foreign visitors to the Olympic Games. It is expected that up to 350,000 people per day will pass through these airports during the Games. Thousands of athletes and their equipment, such as kayaks, bicycles, and pole vaults, will also arrive at these airports.
