No direct train service between Amsterdam and London from June

NS International has announced that between June 2024 and January 2025, no Eurostar trains will depart from the Netherlands to London. This six-month interruption of direct service is due to renovation work at Amsterdam Central Station.

The current terminal is expected to close around the end of June 2024, after which direct travel to London will no longer be possible. Meanwhile, work is underway on the new terminal in the Amstelpassage. From January 2025, the new, larger terminal will be ready, allowing many more passengers to travel directly from Amsterdam to London. This will make Eurostar an even more attractive alternative to flying for many more travellers.
